Oddgeir has litigated hundreds of cases at all court levels in Iceland for over two decades, including before the EFTA Court in Luxembourg. He has handled cases for both individuals and companies. Among others, he protected the interests of one of the oil companies in the so-called oil cartel case and related damages cases from 2003-2006. He was attorney for Bank of Tokyo in Supreme Court case no. 17/2013 where a claim of 50 million US dollars was recognized against Kaupthing Bank. In 2017, the Supreme Court of Iceland appointed Oddgeir as defense attorney for Sævar Marinó Ciesielski in Supreme Court reopening case no. 521/2017 where his client was acquitted. Following the changed court system on January 1, 2018, Oddgeir's clients in child protection cases have twice had district court and Court of Appeals judgments annulled by the Supreme Court, cf. cases no. 26/2018 and 49/2019.

Oddgeir's main areas:

Family Law: divorce cases, custody cases, and child protection cases.

Criminal Cases: defense work and victim representation.

Tort Cases: compensation cases regarding police coercive measures such as arrest, body search and house search, and child protection authorities' actions such as placement outside the home.

Other: estate law, competition law, contract law.
